| Description | Surface area: ca. 61,000 ha Access: Through Baile Herculane resort, located on the E70 European road. The Domogled - Cerna Valley is characterized by a rich flora, the superior plants being represented by over 1,000 species, many being floristic rarities. The cave fauna is represented by over 150 species, a part of these being endemic relics. The area is impressive due to the typical karst relief and due to the particular appearance of the vegetation: the contorted trees that grow from the rock walls and the unusual plant associations. |

| Description | Surface area: ca. 128,000 ha Access: E70 road. Drobeta Turnu-Severin and Orsova are connected by the E70 European road, which continues, upstream from Orsova, on a national road, DN57. In the Danube Strait, the biodiversity is impressive: over 4,000 plant species. There are over 5,000 species of animals. The typical landscape is that of the strait. |
