DescriptionThe Straubing Zoo is today a science zoo in a spacious green belt. Adults and children alike love to come and see over 1700 wild animals of 200 exotic and indigenous species. The zoo's special attractions of local significance include a tropical aviary, the Danube Aquarium, the large humid biotope of the Danube and a Neolithic farmhouse with information on the origins of domestic animial species and the first farmers in Bavaria. Straubing Zoo, the only zoo in Eastern Bavaria, has always been a juwel.
